Fee Schedule – Private Cases Outside San Diego

Basic rates and charges for mediations held outside San Diego County:

Full Day: $7,500

The amount charged includes pre-mediation consultation and emails, reading time, up to eight hours of mediation session time on a single calendar day, travel within Southern California and post mediation follow-up time (in the mediator’s sole discretion). Extra time is charged as set forth below. Conference room charges, if any, are to be paid by the parties directly to the facility where the mediation takes place and are not included in the full day mediator fee.

Extra Time: $750 per hour

Extended mediation session time shall be billed at the rate of $750 per hour. Extra time is billed in increments of one hour and not fractions thereof.

Payment Responsibility:

Fees and costs are the obligation of the parties and their attorneys, jointly and severally.

Reservations and Deposit:

The initial deposit shall be equal to the amount of time reserved for the mediation session as set forth above. The deposit will be allocated equally among the parties, unless otherwise agreed, and invoiced directly to the responsible law firm or party in pro per. In order to reserve a time and date for your mediation, Glass Mediations must receive the initial deposit from all parties within the time period as set forth on your Deposit Invoice. When the full deposit is received in a timely manner, the session is deemed confirmed. In the event all parties have not paid their pro rata share of the deposit in a timely manner, the scheduled mediation session may be vacated and offered to parties in other cases we are currently scheduling.

Cancellation and Postponement:

If the mediation is cancelled or postponed less than twenty-one (21) calendar days before the scheduled mediation session, the attorney/party requesting the cancellation or postponement shall be charged and be responsible for a cancellation or postponement charge equal to their pro-rata share of the initial deposit.  In the event Glass Mediations schedules another matter for the vacated session date and reserved time, the cancellation or postponement charge will be waived or modified.   An additional deposit will be required, as set forth above, in order to confirm any rescheduled mediation session.

Balances Due:

In the event the total fees and costs charged by Glass Mediations exceeds the initial deposit, a final balance due will be allocated equally among the parties, unless otherwise agreed, and invoiced directly to the responsible law firm or party in pro per.  Final payment shall be due upon receipt of the invoice.

Thank you for choosing Glass Mediations!
